Dawn Kopel is an outpatient gynecologist with a special interest in vulvovaginal disorders. She enjoys providing personalized routine and targeted healthcare for patients of all ages. She has been a member of the Greater New Haven family of providers for over 18 years where she sees patients in the New Haven, Hamden, and Orange offices. Spanish speaking patients are welcome.

Her undergraduate education took place at BGrown University where she obtained her BA in East Asian Studies alongside a full complement of premedical requirements. After a brief interlude teaching English in Taiwan, she moved to Chicago where she attended medical school at the Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her ObGyn residency at the Medical College of Virginia at Richmond.

Since working in the Yale community, she has served as Secretary/Treasure and President of the New Haven Obstetrical Society. She is also an active member of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease where she co-moderates their listerserve, an international inquiry forum. Additionally, she truly enjoys her role as a Clinical Instructor at Yale and is very pleased to be serving on a curriculum committee for the Yale ObGyn residents.
