Abigail Bootes, MD

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Bootes moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University where she graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Biology and a minor in sociology. She returned to Ohio for medical school and graduated in 2019 from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at TriHealth (Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North Hospital) in her hometown of Cincinnati. She earned multiple academic awards in residency as well as the Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. After the completion of her residency in 2023, Dr. Bootes moved to Connecticut with her husband, daughter, and dog and joined Greater New Haven OB/GYN

Dr. Bootes initially became interested in obstetrics and gynecology while working as a medical assistant while at Northeastern University. She enjoyed forming relationships with the women during their pregnancies, which is still one of the most enjoyable aspects of her job. Dr. Bootes takes pride in caring for patients through all stages of life, from childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, pregnancy and menopause. She enjoys educating her patients and helping them make well-informed decisions about their health.
